Blue roan with a star and snip glass-eyed.
We bought Segull at Hátún as a foal. The farmer at Hátún had used the stallion Snillingur frá Vorsabæ 2, son of Forseti, for his mares during the summer 2002. We took a trip to Hátún to see the offsprings by Snillingur. There were so many good ones, that we ended up in buying three instedad of one. After we had brought them home to Vorsabær 2, we took a closer look at them. We were especially found of Segull who dansed around in beautiful tölt with high moovements. So we called the farmer at Hátún and bought one foal more. Later we decided to castrate all the foals except Segull because of his fine moovemenst and beautiful color.
We started training Segull in the winter of 2007. At that time a danish girl Nanna Sövsö Mikkelsen, was working for us and she did most of the training with Segull.
When Segull turned 5 years old, he was in training by Brynjar Stefansson.
In the summer of 2009 Gunnar Ásgeirsson trained Segull.
In the winter of 2010 we had a Swedish girl, Elin Vidberg, working for us. She was fascinated by him and ended up buying him in the spring. In the summer she competed with him both in 4-gait and tolt in Sweden with good results. They won the champinonship in the Dales in 4 gait and tolt.
